Actually it was clear she had done that by the end of ME2 and her cameo in ME3 (why the frak were NONE of the characters from ME2 available in ME3 as squadmates?) she had learned to mellow out some, know that sometimes extreme violence isn't the correct choice.
The lack of ME2 squadmates bothered me too. The only ones from that crew was Garrus and Tali, but they're really just original squadmates from ME1. As a PS3 gamer, I played ME2 first with the comic book prologue of ME1. So I'm more attached to the ME2 crew. Plus, I romanced Jack and was very disappointed by the lack of Jack's presence in ME3. I still love ME3, but I really wanted more Jack. :/
Ended up with two playthroughs (ME1 to ME3) with Kaiden alive (one male Shep, one female). I really grew to detest Kaiden by the end of the 3rd game. Started another game where my male Shep romanced Ash (just for the heck of it, went for Liara the first time, my female Shepard went celibate after Kaiden), and I'm not betting on having any better appreciation of Ashley by the time I'm done.
Option 1 - Rescue Ashley Option 2 - Rescue Kaiden Renegade Option - Let them both die, they're annoying.
well yeah I hate Ash, but right move Jack. We can see how you have changed, in a better person. Staying with Shepard has made you a beautiful, strong human being and, that's right, that's why Shepard loves you.
